What is Love in its many manifestations? Why is it that things go so wrong when we lack it?
The truth is that you and I are participants in an
indivisible whole, a Spirit or Mind that is in all, through all and

Richard Rohr: Orthodoxy or Orthopraxy?
“When Jim Lewis of Lima, Ohio, was nine years old he
learned that he had an identical twin who had been adopted at birth.
Thirty years later…he decided to see if he could find
him… He soon learned that he was called Jim Springer and lived
in Dayton, Ohio. As soon as they met they discovered a string of

Franciscan Richard Rohr writes that it is no use
spending energy attacking the Pope, or the entrenched doctrines of the
Church. Many words are expended, opposition aroused, and the
result is darkness. We should let them be, but look in another
direction: not Orthodoxy, right teaching,…Read more

Retired Naval Architect Tells of His NDE
When Dr. Alan Hugenot (below) had a near-death experience in 1970, it
didn’t have a name and he was reluctant to talk about it.
But he now says “the best thing that ever happened to me was when
I ‘died’ in a motorcycle wreck.”
It wasn’t until 2006, as he approached retirement from his career
as a naval architect and marine engineer, that he began seriously
exploring consciousness, including mediumship. Now, 10 years
later, Hugenot is an evidential medium, serving as a test medium for
the Consciousness Research Laboratory at the Institute of Noetic
Sciences, where he works with Drs. Dean Radin and Arnaud Delorme. Read more...
Another Look at the Margery “Third Hand” Mystery: Believe It or Not!
A recent segment of the Travel Channel’s “Mysteries at the
Museum” series dealt with the “Margery” mediumship,
previously discussed in my January 11 blog. The television
presentation is an example of how history is distorted and mediums
maligned by biased historians and journalists who know little of the
subject. The program involved cherry-picking, hearsay, distortion
of facts, sensationalism, misinformation, and most of all incomplete

A President Who Was a Medium
The following words were penned in 1910 by a man about to
become president of his country. However, they seemingly apply
just as much, if not more so, to today’s world. “As
for the less evolved spirits who comprise the great majority of the
earth’s inhabitants, for the most…Read more
Heaven and Hell Unveiled
religion have anything to offer humanity in the 21st century? Many
authorities think not. They see religion's tired old dogmas as
irrelevant and oppressive. This book unveils a different kind of
religion, one that reaches us from the world of spirit. Stafford Betty
presents this radically new perspective with great skill and eloquence.
Heaven and hell are real states, and the spirits who experience them
first hand reveal their true nature, likely to surprise you more than a
little! Betty's innovative, provocative, scientifically grounded
research will be good news for all seekers. Even earth's religions may
take a lesson or two from our spirit friends. If they don't, then the
"authorities" may be proved right.

St Francis of
Assissi aspired to model his life on that of Jesus, having no
possessions of his own and devoting his life to the poor and the
outcasts of society preaching and modelling a life of love and service.
The present Pope Francis aspires to follow in St Francis' footsteps,
bypassing pomp and ceremony, and insistence on traditional doctrines,
and concentrating on the love and service of God/s children regardless
of race or religion. St Francis has always been a loved figure in the
church, but now he takes centre stage.
and inspiring book, really seems to bring us into the spirit of St
Francis as he communicates with his closest confidant Leo, now
incarnate in the person of Laurence Temple, an architect whose life's
work restoring old, and building new churches. Beautiful and poetic
words of love are spoken between them, and it is a privilege to read
about it and enter into what was going on. Laurence initially had great
difficulty in taking in the reality of what was happening. Numerous and
sometimes synchronistic encounters with good mediums, often ignorant of
what was being channelled through the others, helped Laurence to trust
that he was truly in deepest communion with St Francis, and that he had
then been called Leo.
I found this book especially compelling and involving. I felt enriched by the experience.

A few days after his death.........
C.S. Lewis "appears" to J.B. Phillips
[Picture of Lewis to the right...]
Most of us who believe in what is technically known as the Communion of
the Saints, must have experienced the nearness, for a fairly short
time, of those whom we love who have died. This has certainly happened
to me several times. But the late C.S. Lewis, whom I did not know very
well, and had only seen in the flesh once, but with whom I had
corresponded a fair amount, gave me an unusual experience.
A few days after his death, while I was watching television, he
“appeared” sitting in a chair within a few feet of me, and
spoke a few words which were particularly relevant to the difficult
circumstances through which I was passing. He was ruddier in complexion
than ever, grinning all over his face and, as the old-fashioned saying
has it, positively glowing with health. The interesting thing to me was
that I had not been thinking of him at all. I was neither alarmed nor
surprised, nor, to satisfy the Bishop of Woolwich, did I look up to see
the hole in the ceiling he might have made on arrival. He was
just there- “large as life and twice as
natural”! A week later, when I was in bed reading
before going to sleep, he appeared again, even more radiant than
before, and repeated to me the same message, which was very
important to me at the time. I was a little puzzled by this, and I
mentioned it to a certain saintly bishop who was then living in
retirement here in Dorset. His reply was, My dear J..., this sort of
thing is happening all the time”.
Fritjof Capra A new conception of life
look at the world around us, we find that we are not thrown into chaos and
randomness but are part of a great order, a grand symphony of life. Every
molecule in our body was once a part of previous bodies - living or nonliving -
and will be a part of future bodies.
I was trained as a physicist
and spent twenty years, from 1965-85, doing research in theoretical high energy
physics at several European and American universities. From my early student
years, I was fascinated by the dramatic changes of concepts and ideas that
occurred in physics during the first three decades of the twentieth century. In
my first book, The Tao of Physics (Capra, 1975), I discussed the
profound change in our worldview that was brought about by the conceptual
revolution in physics - a change from the mechanistic worldview of Descartes and
Newton to a holistic and ecological view. Read the whole article in Green Medinfo

Short animated video summarizing why the
fundamental nature of the cosmos is consciousness. The fact we are
aware is one thing we know for sure. We couldn't have an experience
without being aware. Yet, despite appearances, our experience of the
world is only the brain's reconstruction of what is "out there."
The current scientific worldview assumes that the brain not only
generates the picture of the world that we experience, but it also
creates awareness itself. An alternative assumption is that awareness
goes all the way down the evolutionary tree. This leads to the
conclusion that the cosmos is a vast field of information that is also
aware—a field of knowing knowing itself.
Near Death Experiences studied at Massey University in Palmerston North NZ.
wouldn’t be fascinated by tales of people crossing over to the
other side and coming back to tell the tale? Near-death experiences, or
NDEs, have been reported throughout history and across the world and
while they have been studied widely overseas, only a small amount of
research has been done in this country.
But that changed nearly five years ago when two academics from Massey University in Palmerston North
undertook our first large-scale, retrospective and quantitative study,
seeking, in part, to find out whether our NDEs matched those reported
In 2010 psychologist Dr Natasha Tassell-Matamua and sociologist Dr Mary Murray
put out a call for participants and received more than 600 responses.
They published some of their findings this year and continue to work
through the more than 200 accounts they recorded. NZ Near Death Experiences [ [Archives of Radio New Zealand]

‘A human being is a part of a whole, called by us
universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his
thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest … a
kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind
of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to
affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free
ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to
embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its
beauty.‘ ( Albert Einstein)

was it intended that the two worlds, ours [the afterlife] and yours
[the earth plane], should be as they are now—so far apart in thought
and contact. The day will assuredly come when our two worlds will be
closely interrelated, when communication between the two will be a
commonplace of life, and then the great wealth of resources of the
spirit world will be open to the earth world, to draw upon for the
benefit of the whole human race.
Today, we are seeing the dawning of the day when
afterlife communication will be commonplace."

When Alzheimer’s Victims Suddenly ‘Perk Up’ Just Before Death — What’s Going On?
elderly woman never speaks, no longer recognizes her loved ones when
they come to visit, and shows no expression. By the looks of her, she
is a human vegetable. And she’s been this way for over a year. Her
brain’s cerebral cortex and hippocampus — necessary for memory,
thought, language, and normal consciousness — are severely shrunk. Her
brain bears little resemblance to a healthy one.
something utterly astonishing is about to happen. As reported by both
the nursing staff of her care unit and her family members:
“Unexpectedly, she calls her daughter and thanks her for everything.
She has a phone conversation with her grandchildren, exchanges kindness
and warmth. She says farewell and shortly thereafter dies.” Read on.... [Huffington Post]
